Always curious. Always learning. Always making waves.
Bored, complacent, and comfortable are words I've never worn particularly well. I'm always curious. Always wanting to try something new. Especially when someone tells me I can't.

I didn't touch a surfboard until five years ago. Before that, I had an irrational fear of jellyfish. I'd never even been stung by one. But the first time I popped up (or as I like to call it, slothed-up) I was hooked.

That same curiosity has guided my entire career. I started as an art director, switched to copywriting, and have spent the years since chasing every new wave in our industry. Learning it. Trying it. Figuring out what I can do with it.
And just like surfing, I've learned the most from other people. Ever since that first day I scooched my ergonomic chair up to my brand-new monitor at Leo Burnett, I've never stopped learning. In fact, one of the things I'm proudest of is that I've learned more from the creatives I've mentored and led than from any book, class, or manager.

All that curiosity and learning has a purpose. To take what I know, bend it, twist it, turn it upside down, and find ideas nobody's thought of before. Ideas that inspire teams, build brands, and move people. To look beyond what's expected. To keep pushing. To always make waves. The paddle out sucks. But the ride is sublime.

See you out there.
